Hi, My heart was full of joy, as always, when I came across the Middle Brighton Beach Shorthead Seahorse. I took some photos bid her goodbye, went home to download my photos. My heart sank when I saw what was lurking in the background under a rock in this photo. Under a rock watching the Seahorse is a very big crab, I didn't see at the time, which apparently is the mortal enemy of the Seahorse, hopefully the Seahorse is OK. I haven't been back to check. Will keep you posted.

Hi @ken_flan, let's hope you see the fish again next time you are in the water. Maybe it's the angle of the photo but the fish looks very stocky. I initially thought it might be a pipehorse rather than a seahorse but you are probably right and it is H. breviceps.
